Short Film Series I
Actors as Directors: The New Generation of Filmmakers
During the Spring 2011 season the HARA teachers will lead 15 students through the intensive training of directing, acting and collaborative storytelling for the screen. With guest teachers coming to speak about navigating short film festivals, the business side of acting, and lending us one-of-a-kind insight into the interior of YouTube, the largest online distribution network in the world, this season will provide students with training found no where else.
The classwork captured on camera in this season will be woven together to provide a very watchable glimpse into the amazing creative work that took place at the Carmel Youth Center. This showcase will be on April 3rd.
The work done throughout the classes will culminate in 4-5 short film screenplays to be produced by the students in the Summer.
Classes will be held at the Carmel Youth Center on the weekends from 1-5pm. (some class times are subject to change.)
